Same things as the changelog announced here appart of :

- Fixed a bug where the magnetic detonators didn't work correctly
- and that the Sonar is fixed

Nothing about AI escort strategies implementation though ...

Well still have to wait.

Some feedback from a lucky russian player :

Skonorev at ubisoft forum :
Quote:
Some remarks after playing 1.2 ver (russian)
As it was mentioned before - compass, depth under keel and Return to course added.
But still there's no possibilities to set the specific amount of rudder.Compass looks great but difficult to use - impossible to change course from 0 to 180 in one click, have to make several turns ( IMHO )
Morale fixed. Information about ship mast, draft, tonnage added to recognition manual.
Performance is really improved, especially inside u-boat. Behavior of the ships is normal (no more collisions),electric torpedoes trail fixed etc...
About gameplay. Looks like they increased the power of the torpedoes and improved flooding system. Can't say something specific about a/c and AI because started new campaing.
My first impression was that the game became more playable.. yeah there're a lot of things to be changed, but still......game is becoming better
p.s. sorry for my english

I logged on the game and it downloaded (in german) as I have my menu/voice set to german a "download updater" I believe would be the term, but it did not download any patch, however it is something new from last time I logged on a few days ago, so it may be in preparation for the patch, not sure, just a guess, only time will tell.

You mean the launcher? That has been updated almost weekly since release.

It was/is in rather poor shape; going through the syncing process while the feature is disabled (patched out 3-4 weeks ago) and possibly overwriting local saves with online ones, destroying progress made in last session.

No launcher update here in the States. I did get one on Thursday I think it was? Nothing over the weekend though.

Could have been Thursday, dunno. Bit aggravating to see the thing updated every week.

Normally you see the auto-updater flash by, I think you do mean the launcher.

I had to pester the forum manager on the ubi forums to even update their patch thread saying there wasn't any ETA since GKane, the Community Developer, hasn't said anything since the 12th... (though to be fair, he's really said nothing since the game came out).

Nope, not really. Russian players have access to a version of the 1.2 patch, but there's been no official world-wide 1.2 Ubisoft patch release

Russian players have access to a lot of things, chief amongst them is pirated games of every sort, so I don't know yes or know if this patch would fall in this category, however the two years I lived there, it was next to impossible to find a REAL version of a western published game. I'm hoping its just been released for testing there, but would seem strange.

Ok, thanks. I just uninstalled SH5 because I had to manually input some of the mods and the new patch would not work then. I shall wait for the patch and then install it again.
