Don't know about any one else but does the boat feel a little to wide inside. I was watching das Boot today and the central corridor looked quite narrow. Playing tonight it seem as wide as a highway.!

Hmmmm, im sure the extra animations going on would hit folks's systems even more than it does now. Many are exeriencing FPS issues now even inside the sub.
I think there may have been some things that may not have been implemented for just this reason, to allow it to run more smoothly on a wider variety of systems.

Oh and you guys have noticed that all the crew except for the one's in their bunks do have certain animations as you near them, and if you click on them at a close enough distance?
Such as turning their head, or if standing they turn to you and stand at attention and nod.

The missing compartments are the battery rooms!

What do I win ?

Hardly any space to wander in those, though.

And the bathroom, of course. That would explain why the morale is always so low They've to go outside even during winter storms.

Ahhh you win the "Poopy" prize!
Actually funny you should mention going outside, they did do this actually. They use a small seat attached to the deck guard rail, and hung their butt over the side whilst holding onto a rope attached to the tower.
Wasn't too dignified, but was at times more preferable to the rather cramped and stinky head below decks.

Ah yes.. the Silversides. Currently docked in Muskegeon, Michigan.
Probably the worst thing about moving to Arizona two months ago is I have to say goodbye to the Silversides.

You learn something new every day. That sure as hell isn't in any of my books!

Now what isn't mentioned in this book though, but was on my mind was how the crewman wiped his butt in this configuration without falling off.

BTW the book is "Grey Wolf" from Osprey Publishing, by Gordon Williamson.
And is a fantastic and enightening look at the Uboat crewmen in WWII.
