Would it be possible to create a usable TDC which could be large enough to be brought up on a second monitor, maybe to look exactly like a real MK3? Or maybe even a seperate window that could be opened up in-game? It would sure be nice (and easy for old timers like me to see) as opposed to the very abreviated, tiny dials version we have now. I like going into the conning tower just to stand in front of the nice, big TDC in there- too bad it is non-functional! Maybe a tiny" cheat" could be included, so we could input values directly from the keyboard, instead of fooling around with dials. Forgive me if someone has already done this- Happy holidays! |

![]() I don't know exactly how the dual monitors work, as I have none, but I guess that enlarging the current slide out TDC shouldn't be that difficult. A boring work, for sure, but not impossible. Karamazovnew did an excellent work with his KiUB for the uboats, and he kindly gave the guidelines to understand how the menu ini works. Someone with patience and dedication should certainly be able to have the game not rescale the TDC with any new resolution keeping it big, instead of getting reduced the higher the screen res. Quote:

You'd require access to the game code to redirect the DX output to another screen... then again one person has changed the game code, and there was a big 'huff' about it.

would be cool if someone could create a working tdc and put in place of the attack map or create a new window for it so to speak.Would be cool to enter the info like that.In place of attack map, hit F6 and it brings up a full TDC, enter info, activate PKNot sure if can be done, would be cool though
Also would be cool if someone could get to the TDC in the conning tower view to come to life, make some noise, make the red solution light come on, dials move, the digital readout moves, would be cool |

If you're talking about dual monitors, why not just make it an external app? You wouldn't be interfering with the game at all and could always have the solution to look at no matter what screen you are at.

The nice thing is that once you position yourself somewhere, when you select again the F2 view you appear where you were before ![]()

I think lots of people have tried to add all the useful things to the attack map, but have had limitted success. As far as I know, there are certain things you can't change with the 2D stuff, because of IDs being linked to certain screens only and other limitations. I'm not really sure, that 2D stuff is beyond me.
I am working on a 3D TDC though. I can do 3D things.
