Excuse me if I'm wrong here (I'm just a simple french canadian) but of course the current U.S. administration would be spending the most in history. Isn't there inflation? Prices for 'things' cost more year after year, also the current administration had to bail out banks (or else the economy crashes), and it inherited two wars! So of course it would be spending the most in history.
Pointing this out as some kind of negative point, is a serious partisan twisting of the truth.

Edit: Of course, I'll be the first to admit I may be wrong. I'm not an economists.

Ow for crying out loud. As if "tea party group" is any less gay.

There is no suggestion that the mad hatter was gay, the march hare may have been mad but he was full of usual leporidea lusts for mating even in april so he asn't gay, the dormouse may have been slightly gay which perhaps explains why they wanted to put him in the teapot as a closet was not available. But a slight possible link to an as yet unproven allegation about one small mammal is not enough to write off a whole group as gay.
So please avoid the link between tea parties and gayness.
Just call them mad instead, especially as the opening post demonstrates how dormousecrazy they are with their request for local government to spend more so they can protest about government spending.
Actually the dormouse was clearly a very conservative wingnut. When he refers to the bat and questions its position in the world he is obviously talking about liberal moonbats.

I'm pretty sure that was sarcasim but yes of course thats exactly the tea party were talking about.

The gay inference comes from the phrase 'tea bagging' but I dont want to go into details. I'm sure you can fill in the sordid blanks by yourself.

when it comes to politics in America choosing a party is a simple thing.

Do you want to be screwed over by a Lawyer (D)

or

Do you want to be screwed over by a business man (R)

Funny I thought there were lots of lawyers on the republican side and lots of businessmen on the democrat side.

Personally see it as do you want to get screwed over by <censored> A or <censored> B. They both pull the same crap once they get voted in, they just use different rhetoric to appeal to certain target groups.

Heh, the way I see it, I have too much to worry about in life than to be concerned with the crass title some ideologue gives to another group.

Besides, the term says far more about the people using it than the people its describing, doesn't it?

Absolutely, let them make fun of our tea parties. I find it childish, crass, full of hate and deeply insulting.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to finish painting the mustache on my 'Obama is worse than Hitler' sign.

As I recall though they were the ones that coined that name for themselves when they started mailing tea bags to politicians, and called it a tea bagging campaign. They even liked the name till they found out the other meaning behind it, then they quickly distanced themselves from it.

Correct , they were perfectly happy with that term for months, until lots of people started taking the piss out of it. Though the piss taking started all the way back in February and they had no problem until April when they decided to get upset over a name they had chosen for their own activities.
And now we have people attempting to rewrite history because they have become offended.

Ah you are going down the other approach. So instead of rewriting history ike August did you are saying they chose the name for their actions knowing full well the sexual conotations of the words....in that case who are the people complaining about the words being rude?
Obviously not the teabaggers eh
