Default Lighthouse mod

Readme

The mod places working lighthouses throughout the world: around Wilhelmshaven and Kiel in Germany, near Brest, Lorient, St. Nazaire, and Bordeaux in France, as well as in Norway, UK, on the east coast of Canada and US and in Carribean. The mod includes the model file for a lighthouse and location data in Location.cfg.

To combine this with other mods, just copy lighthouses data at the end of Location.cfg, paste in other mod's Location.cfg and correct order numbering.

Lighthouses Solthorner, Neuwerk, Scharhorn, and Heligoland Bight near Wilhelmshaven

Lighthouses Friedrichsort, Bulk Point, Great Belt, and Randzel in Kiel area

Solthorner in Wilhelmshaven harbor

Neuwerk at night

The mod can be downloaded here

Sergei,

Great job! What will be the next?

Like the Ai uboat crew mod, may I use them on the next release of the traffic mod?

Awesome.

I can see this extending even further though. I'd love to sail by and see lights on Hatterras when Drumbeating; or have remote islands present something other than a grey navigational obstacle.

Any chance you could pull out or recombine other location tiles?
And one thing that would be awesome is that tile editor that Ubi had originally promised... I'm sure that, since you managed to pull a lighthouse out of there, that could be possible now :hmm:

It´s JSGME compatible. But it isn´t made for RUb, for that you have to manually transfer parts of it to RUb´s locations.cfg.

Piece of cake. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to extract the lighthouse model based on my experience with ship models. I did not expect it to be so easy. One can actually easily build his own city or port using various building blocks.

Nice work sergbuto, your wonders never cease!

In the future, can someone start lighting up the US coastline.
I can only see things getting better and better.

Keep up the excellent work
