Do you know if it exist a mod like Random Tonnage but for use without SH3Cmdr ? (I don't like the fact to restart the game after each patrol with SH3Cmdr).

Why do you have to restart the game after each patrol when running through SH3 Commander?

More's the point, when would anyone have the time to run multiple patrols straight after each other???

Well, that's what I read in the readme of SH3Cmdr.

Is this mod RUb compatible?

I'm not just asking whether it overwrites a RUb modified file. That's not the end of the world.

Rather, will it have a negative effect on something RUb installs or will it simply override RUb's reduced tonnage changes?

Read in its entirety:
Quote:
1. SH3 Commander loads files based on the current career date and anticipated next patrol start date, so make sure that you exit the game after every patrol. Then, when you want to start a new patrol, just launch SH3 Commander and choose the career or mission that you want to play. But don't worry if you forget to launch the game via SH3 Commander once in a while - it won't cause serious problems. It just means that you may see a news file from the wrong date, or your boat may have deeper crush depth characteristics, etc. These problems are minor, temporary and will disappear as soon as you update the game by running SH3 Commander again.
How many patrols do you do in one session? I could understand if you went through the entire war in one go but just for a 2nd patrol, there's no need to exit SH3, unless your time in base setting is 500 days and I sure hope it isn't!

It depends. Certain people have randomized features that would make it better for them to quit SH3 and reload via SH3Cmdr again.

No it does not. It exists outside of RUb and modifies the files regardless of which install, if any you currently are using.

You have to restart SH3 via Commander in order for the program to randomize and write the values to the appropriate files. Because of the new Commander architecture, this random tonnage files are no longer necessary, though you are welcome to use the names. I haven't updated those with all of the new ship classes, though this can be done.

If you don't like the SH3 Commander tonnage values, you can modify them by editing the values in the Ship displacements.cfg file in your SH3 Commander/Cfg folder. Instructions are on how and what to edit are in the config file.

I'll upload the file to http://u-boot.realsimulation.com/ as well.
RapidShare says file was deleted and nowhere to be seen at RealSims.

You don't really need to download it, as random tonnage mod has already been combined with the latest version of SH3 Commander. So as long as you have SH3Cmdr, you are already using random tonnage mod.

What if I do not use SH3 Commander, Can I still use it stand alone?

Silly me, I already have it.
