Map under red light?
I've noticed that in a number of GUI mods (OLC and MaGui), the navigation map, periscope, and other stations no longer appear under red light at night, like they do in the vanilla game. I'm wondering, is there a historical reason for this or is just to make the maps easier to read?

The red lights do not make things easier to read, but it does allow you to see better (adapt from light to dark) if you have to go topside at night.

For example, in the vanilla game, the map under red light looks like this: But using MaGui, it looks like this: And OLC's GUI is the same regular lighting with just a moon icon in the upper right. |

MaGUI has several different night map filters as an option.

Thanks, I just discovered ARB Widescreen GUI and it also has a dimmer "night light" for the map, but not red light. The periscopes look the same day or night. Guess it's too technically difficult to have the new GUI plus the old red light filter or something.

2. Have you installed HotFix v0.3.1 for ARB? 3. Have you seen DGUI? https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/sho...d.php?t=247186
