SHO 1945 seems a long way away...

Recently, I started a new career. I have all the realism settings checked, apart from manual targeting and no map contact updates. The major mods I'm running are IRAI and OHII light. I'm also playing DID. Has anyone got any advice as I stumble inexperienced unto the breach?

Sink em all!

Don't be in a rush as it will take time to get to '45.

If I was anymore aggressive than I am now, I would be attacking London daily.

I hate to break it to you but...

there is very little chance that you will see 1945.

That's realism!

As soon as you are able, get to grips with manual targeting. It makes it all the more satisfying when you get a hit!

Good lucke! If you ever want to play 1945, you must give up DID. I myself play a modified form of DID. When I die, I use silentotto and starts a later campaign, but with a newly qualified captain. That way I make my way to 1945. Many good captains will be gone before I reach 1945
