Default [REL] SH 5 Longer Repair Times

SH 5 Longer Repairs v.1.01

Like the title says, this mod makes the repair times longer. In stock version repair times are really short, so broken equipment isn't a big concern. As far as I know, this issue hasn't been addressed before this. Purpose of this mod is again to make the game more challenging, realistic and exciting!

Repair times are dynamic in Silent Hunter games, so light damage gets fixed pretty fast: with this mod it takes aprox. 1 hour to fix damages from 90% to 100% (in stock game this takes about 10 min!). Repair times get radically longer as the damage increases, heavy damage will take several days to fix.

There are two different versions available, one compatable with Equipment Upgrades Fix v1.4 byTheBeast, and one for stock version. This mod changes just one file: "equipment.upc".

Unfortunately it seems that the changes come in action only when starting a new campaign! It is possible that it starts to work also when you have been given a new submarine, or you advance to next campaign. Haven't yet tested this. Mod kicks in instantly on Historical Missions.

Change log:

v.1.01

-added compatability to Equipment Upgrades Fix v1.4 byTheBeast PATCH 1 version. So now you need to have EUF 1.4 and the patch 1! (EUF's hotfix and Longer Repairs are compatible.).

Feedback is welcome!

BUT:

The file you are looking for seems to be unavailable at the moment. Please come back later.

How long would it take to GameFront fixing the download, with this mod enabled?

Oh, and the MediaFire links work fine, just in case you get no other feedback on that.

Hi all!
I really appreciate this mod! I wanted to ask the experienced modders?
You can make a wider and more realistic model of damage mechanisms boats in SH5?
For example ....
Damage to the periscope.
Faulty batteries.
Damage to the ballast tank.
Fuel leak.
Damage to the rudder control and depth.

The frequency of damage mechanisms, depending on the residence time of a boat at sea?
As we saw in the SH3 and SH4?

New 1.01 version is released which adds compatibility to EUF 1.4 patch 1!

Before SH5 Longer Repairs was using EUF 1.4 main mod equipment file, that was missing some items from the patch.

If you are planning to start a new career, or advancing to the next campaign, use this new version!
