Here is my current list of mods:
![]() When I try to load the Merchant Fleet mod 3.2, it causes a crash to desktop when I try to load a mission (home in base). I tried not loading the optional skins, and it still crashes to desktop. I thought I had a pretty stout system: ![]() Any ideas? Thanks, Steve |

Adding ships is difficult as so many files have to match exactly or there is a CTD. It is extremely difficult to locate the problem.

Just a hunch mate, but try disable the DC Water disturbance mod. It gave me no end of trouble. Best regards. Fubar2Niner |

I don't know if this will work for you, but I just recently installed SH3+GWX3 and added the Merchant Fleet Mod with the skin packs. I did it differently than you apparently did with JSGME (just looking at your screen shots). I added all the separate skin packs (11 of them) to the MOD file and they show up in JSGME as 11 items to select and activate after you activate the MFM3.2 mod. You will probably get messages about conflicts on most of them when you activate them. The authors "readme" file says to ignore these messages and I did when I activated mine. 8 of the skin packs are "grayed out" on my JSGME screen, but I have not had a problem yet. I got sunk by DD's once because I was just looking at the ships and not paying attention.
I have the same amount of memory as you do and the same 64bit OS. I also have the same i7 930 cpu but am running it at about 3.4 GHz. Your hardware is up to it unless you have a lot of non-essential stuff running in the background using up the memory you need to run this game. |

Hint 1: Are you using the 4-Gig patch? If not, it doesn't matter how much memory you have, the game is only using 2 Gigs, and that's not enough.
Hint 2: Get Gamebooster. It will shut off pretty much all your background programs.

In addition to using the 4GB patch for the game's .exe file, the above is also a worthy suggestion. IIRC correctly this mod was found to cause corrupted saves and associated CTDs from whatever point its effects are triggered by events in your game. So you can play with it enabled *until* something happens that triggers it and then you're borked from that point on. AFAIK no fix was ever found.
