hello guys,
i need some info about the 'numbers' in basic.cfg file and what exactly each number is representing. we read ,for example, somewhere in basic.cfg file this (is the starting armament-equips of IXD2 at year 1945) : Year3=1945 ForeTube30=3 ;T1 ForeTube31=3 ForeTube32=4 ForeTube33=4 ForeResIntern30=3 ForeResIntern31=3 ForeResIntern32=4 ForeResIntern33=4 ForeResExtern30=0 ForeResExtern31=0 ForeResExtern32=3 ForeResExtern33=3 ForeResExtern34=3 ForeResExtern35=3 ForeResExtern36=4 ForeResExtern37=4 ForeResExtra30=3 ForeResExtra31=3 AftTubes30=6 AftTubes31=3 AftResIntern30=3 AftResIntern31=3 AftResExtern30=3 AftResExtern31=3 AftResExtern32=3 AftResExtern33=3 Z01_30=11 ; IX/3 M01_30=-1 A01_30=10 A02_30=10 S01_30=5 SuperCharger_30=-1 Snorkel_30=1262 Batteries_30=1268 AftBatteries_30=1268 Hydrophone_30=1270 Sonar_30=1274 Radar_30=1275 RadarWarningReceiver_30=1282 Decoy_Launcher_30=1284 SonarCoatings_30=-1 RadarCoatings_30=-1 i know what torpedo each number is representing at green ------------------------------------------------------------- at blue are correct the followings? Z01 is marking the conning tower type M01 is marking the deck gun (i guess that -1 here means ''no gun'') A01-A02 are marking the AA guns S01 is something about AA guns again (?) [ 20mm Vierling is a AA gun ?] Does anyone have a list of what these 11 (at Z01), 10 (at A01 and A02) and 5 (at S01) are specifying ? -------------------------------------------------------------- at brown I need exactly the same : a list of what these 1262,1268,1268,1270,1274,1275,1282,1284 are specifying. also , i have one more question for moders : at .sns file of ixd2 appears that its radar is 'NULL' till the end of war but on the other hand we see at basic.cfg that it is equiped with a radar at 1945 (and earlier.../43 and /44). in game the sub has indeed a radar so the question is which file is altering the final sensors of players boat ? thank you in advance for any help - info on the theme

******* To discover this, scroll down to the [Z01] section and read the Idx number: [Z01] DaysSpent=21 NbGuns=13 Idx0=0 Dummy0=data/objects/Turm2a_1_hd Idx1=1 Dummy1=data/objects/Turm2d_1_hd Idx2=2 Dummy2=data/objects/Turm2d_2_hd Idx3=3 Dummy3=data/objects/Turm7b_1_hd Idx4=4 Dummy4=data/objects/Turm7b_2_hd Idx5=5 Dummy5=data/objects/Turm7c_1_hd Idx6=6 Dummy6=data/objects/Turm7c_2_hd Idx7=7 Dummy7=data/objects/Turm7c_3_hd Idx8=8 Dummy8=data/objects/Turm7c_4_hd Idx9=9 Dummy9=data/objects/Turm9c_1_hd Idx10=10 Dummy10=data/objects/Turm9c_2_hd Idx11=11 Dummy11=data/objects/Turm9c_3_hd Idx12=12 Dummy12=NULL; data/objects/Turm21_hd ******* The same holds true for each of the other categories as well. For example, 10 at A01 and A02 indicates a '20mmShield_Twin_UFlak_High.' Once again you can find this listed in the [A01] and [A02] sections of the file. Last but not least, 5 at S01 identifies '20mmVierling_High.' Hope this helps and good luck! ![]()

Usually a none at station is marked "-100"
as you say in blue is Z01_30=11 ; "whatever" So this is tower-year-type. M01_30=-100 so this is no deck gun at station (0= large gun. 1=small) A01,2 small aa guns S01 large aa gun mount in orange ... SuperCharger_30=-1 (supercharger-year=-1 none at station) Ok as an example .... Decoy_Launcher_30=1284 ( the number at the end relates to the type of item used in this case Bold type 1 where as 1288 is Bold type 5 All items are listed at the end of the basic file and contain the end numbers within the items list I.E ..... thank you very much for your help ![]() Quote:
also, i didn't understand what you mean by that ''0= large gun. 1=small''.can you explain it a little further ? about your rest info (about the ammo 'numbers') ...sure helped me a lot ! thank you very much too for your help ![]() still stands the last question : at .sns file of ixd2 appears that its radar is 'NULL' till the end of war but on the other hand we see at basic.cfg that it is equiped with a radar at 1945 (and earlier.../43 and /44). in game the sub has indeed a radar so the question is which file is altering the final sensors of players boat ? anyone knows something about it ???

@Seawolf : you mean -1 right ? (I don't see anywhere -100)
Yes so I noticed you must be using a basic file that is different to mine or has been changed ![]() also, I didn't understand what you mean by that ''0= large gun. 1=small''.can you explain it a little further ? Sure take a look below [AMMO_TYPE0];10.5cm SK C/32 Idx=0 {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ Large deck gun Year=1939 Month=1 SS=100 AP=100 HE=1500 Renown=0 [AMMO_TYPE1];8.8cm SK C/35 Idx=1 {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ Small deck gun Year=1939 Month=1 SS=100 AP=100 HE=1500 Renown=0 about your rest info (about the ammo 'numbers') ...sure helped me a lot ! thank you very much too for your help COOL |

In my game EMEA edition, the -100 is used exclusively for the type XXI, taken from careers.cfg :
SubType=3 SubVersion=0 Z01=15 M01=-100 A01=9 A02=9 S01=-100 S02=-100 S03=-100 from careers_0.cfg : SubType=-1 SubVersion=-1 Z01=15 M01=-100 A01=9 A02=9 S01=-100 S02=-100 S03=-100 hope this help ![]() back to lurking ![]() |
