Default Quick question about escaping escorts

I've just sinked a fleet carrier in the mouth of the English channel, shallow water and a dozen of angry escorts... I've tried to escape few times, but neveve made it. One time i was depth charged for over 24 hours. I'm using "Magnum_Opus" mod.
Do i stand any chance? Don't they never run out of depth charges?!

they run out of depth charges but they follow you like forever

try to lower the sensors from ini.aix (related at your level) and you will not have this problem in the future - when you will improve your skills you can change back the sensors

yes - my english is not so good - i mean depends when you started to play sh5 - if you are beginer then you must adjust the sensors from beginer level -

i have my tricks to escape from these DDs - i torpedo them from like 5-6 km and i run before my torpedo hit the target - then when everything is relax a bit i came back and hit another one and so one - untill i kill em all

haha.. yes but notice the point of your strategy that involves shooting and running away to hide.

Charging into a dozen escorts as he states, great captain or not, and sinking a carrier is a great way to die.

- this method i use when i must to sink an capital ship or an aircraft carier wich is escorted by 5-6 DDs.

When i hunt an convoy i am crazy about shooting from an angle of 90 degrees 2-3 sheeps in the same column (almoust in the same time) and then go to 50 - 70 meters and escape under the convoy on the other side.

but almoust all my atacks i do in night time and btw since i use stormy&rongel ,,wasserbomben'' i was never hit by a dept charge - an wonderful sound compilation mod - i think is a must have for everyone (if you like to have all sounds in german)
