Default What did Santa bring to you this year?

The usual for me:
  • 2 pairs of socks
  • money
  • Book about the not so well known stuff of Winter/Continuation War
  • 1941-1942 & 1943-1944 patrol diaries of detachment Marttina (sissi/recon unit) from Continuation War
  • New coffee mug

What did you get?

A rather large credit card bill I suspect.

A Stonesy Christmas: Blue-ray of the live Stones show from 1972, 'Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones' and the 40th anniversary remastered boxset of 'Get Yer Ya-Yas out.' Listening to the Ike and Tina Turner set right now.

Also got Anthony Everitt's new book on Hadrian and 'The Pacific' Blue-Ray box set.

Just chilling with a bottle of Prosecco before I take the Foi Gras out to warm up and start preparing the Rib Roast for dinner.

I love Christmas, me.

My sister, brother-in-law, and I do our Christmas on Christmas Eve... I got him a big bottle of Crown Royal Black which he loves and of course he opened it to have a wee drinkie. Then he wanted me to try it. Which I did, and he kept refilling our glasses and I kept saying that I wasn't feeling any buzz.

Then it hit me like the proverbial Mack truck. I ended up staying the night - just got home and OY MY HEAD.

This morning when we got up we discovered that we'd gone through almost the whole bottle.

Anyway, my prezzies this year:

A 2010 kitteh ornament
Some cute "peace sign" earrings
The obligatory pecan log
A tin of homemade shortbread (pecan & almond)
This:

(Phillips SRU5107/27 7-Device Universal Remote)

Two books:

Some DVD/BluRay:

Some Beatles:

And this surprise:

(Shun Classic 6" Serrated Utility Knife)

Then you could say that gift for your brother-in-law, was a perfect strategic purchase for to dance, all night long around the tree,
