Default Optimal System Requirments?

I threw together a new rig and I am wondering what system specs would you recommend to run the game at it's fullest

At monday i'm going to buy a new rig for it like:
AMD Phenom II X4 925
Scythe Katana 3 SCKTN-3000
2*2GB Samsung DDR3 1333mhz
MSI 770 AM3
Chieftec 600C 600W
Gigabyte/MSI/EVGA GTX460 1024
and then overclock it.

i think it will be enough to handle the game at 1680*1050

what do you think?

just interesting link where you can check sys specs for sh5: http://www.game-debate.com/games/ind...t%20Hunter%205

search newegg.com for your parts. You should be able to get better parts for the same price you're going to pay for the above. I'd go with the AMD Phenom II X4 955 or 965. I use the 965 and have it OC'd to 3.9 on air. Love it. Get the best video card you can afford - I have the EVGA GTX480 and it's a dream. Runs this game with all settings on max with no problems (I have 30" Samsung LCD running @ 2560 x 1600)

Well you have a better card/ram than I am using at the moment (zotac 210, 6gb OCZ 1600mhz) I have to wait for my pump to get here before I can install the 480's and the dominators (water cooled heatspreaders )

I run the game with 1X 5870 and 1920x1080 on a 24inch monitor . I get 70fps outside and over 100 inside . That is with the game settings on full except shadows on half . In catalyst i have AA 4X and AF 16X.

So it's not that demanding then is it.

Default i3?

Hi there. I haven't actually owned a computer since my Atari 600/130XE, but am looking to get a laptop-one that will handle SHV at full-detail, or close-to, at say...25-30fps.I've been console only since then [reliability, and lack of games, understand...Atari pretty much had all the problems that plague/d PC AND Mac users....b)

Anywho... been reading up a bit, and am wondering: would an intel i3-350m [mobile] be sufficient, spending the extra cash [over say, getting an i5] on a better graphics card, say, 1GB [integrated]....?? Or even better? Plus 4MB ram.
I won't have broadband initially, probably; so won't be able to actually play the game...I just want to know I have a computer that can handle it. I can wait.
In the meanwhile...I'd have SH3 and 4 to play for the first time....;0)
A little side-question on those [as I'm guessing everyone's played them]; do you start with the campaign first [just with anti-bug mods installed]...and then apply, say; Trigger Maru and Real Fleetboat [not together, I know], in order to gain more replayability? Or do you go straight for a super-mod...? Or the game patched, plus just a few 'regular' mods, i.e; Real Breathing Ocean [or somesuch]??

Only if it's no trouble;0)

Z.
P.s; I just like him, cause he's a pirate...b

A warning about ATI drivers, I bought a ASUS EAH5870 Ver.2 specifically to play SH5, I installed the original driver that was into the CD included within this video card box, the result was a steady 60FPS everywhere and with all 3D video settings at max resolution, later I updated the drivers (10-5, 10-6, 10-7, 10-8 etc etc ) , and I noticed there was a progressive drop in FPS with every new driver version , when I updated the 10-8 version the FPS drop to just 3FPS ( yes just three FPS ) , I sort out this problem installing again the original driver included with in the CD , and the FPS went again to a steady 60FPS everywhere . The conclusion is , I will NEVER again update any ATI driver

Another good place to get parts threw is www.pricewatch.com. They'll find you the lowest prices for what you're looking for. Lots of good bargains.
