I found something that might spark some interest, it was an idea that I was toying with in my head but somebody actually got it too work
just as i thought . What if I told you that you could make hydrogen at home , what if it was as simple as pouring water into a jar ,what if you could build a HHO generator at home with things you found in your kitchen , what if you could run your car with this ,what would you do ?

If I got to build my own home I would use my own electric generator as much from renewable energy sources such as wind and the sun(with solar panel) and store them in battery cells, recycle my own water and store rain water and probably process it too . . . .
Ummm . . . . . . nah not because I'm green but because the utility companies sucks your money dry here and give a bad service(power outages, etc) LoL.

I remeber doing electrolist back in high school chemistry when we had the oil embrago . This would have been the answer to a lot of energy problems here in the U S . I think this is just about criminal that it has not been used , in light of the oil disaster in the gulf i think some heads should roll. So why do we have to go to the moon to find water to make fuel when we got water here. I live down the street from the space center where freinds of mine are looseing their jobs I think it would be fitting for them to show the world that making hydrogen is as easy as pouring water out of a tap , and that we will never have to loose american lives over oil.

![]() ![]() Running a car on water again? You guys are not believing this right? Thermodynamics says no! You will use more energy than you gain making H from H20. ![]() |

I see ya one Hindenburg to 1 gulf spill , what if the Hindenburg accident never happened ? It seems to be safe 4 space travel.

Touché. I'm not exactly fond of non-renewable sources of energy myself, however, as TLAM Strike said, for any source of energy to be efficient you've got to get more out than you put in.
Still, one day perhaps, there's plenty of minds working on it... ![]() |

that depends on how you look at it. how much enegy is spent on oil from the ground to the pump if that was the case we d still be burning coal , and we would be dead.

Yup! When I was a kid I would gather balloons, a coke bottle, aluminum foil, and lye crystals to make hydrogen balloons. The lye was available at the supermarket in the laundry soap aisle. You just made a solution of lye and water in the coke bottle. Rolled up some foil like a cinnamon stick and dropped it in the bottle, then put a balloon over the bottle. The foil would disolve giving off hydrogen which would fill the balloon. Pull the balloon off and tie it, add a fuse, light it and let it go at night. It would float off and explode in a fireball a couple hundred yards off.
Don't try this! It may explode in your hand. I still have all my parts though. ![]()

The Mythbusters have thoroughly Fraked up the whole idea of hydrogen or water injection because of their bogus "busting"
Too many people on the Internets think water to gas is some nutjob scheme to run a car engine on nothing but water. Obviously if there isnt a Mr Fusion in there as well it is impossible. The truth is if someone gave a read at the various material on in car hydrogen production out there the reason to do that is to enhance the energy gain from the chemical reaction from petrol. You know what octane is right? The higher it is the better and cleaner the burn and less "knock" or out of sequence firing. Proper water vapor and hydrogen injection enhance octane as well as the hydrogen ensuring far less fuel is lost due to incomplete combustion. However it almost all modern cars a fuel air mixture which is handled by the onboard computer which is UNLAWFUL to tamper with. Therefore the only legal and useful way Watergas can be used in my opinion is with pre-computer carburetor vehicles. This in my opinion is an example of it in use Tho I question if the police did it right as normally with a car with an onboard computer the computer thinks the mixture is off because the output is too clean. And adjusts which oftentimes causes a loss of MPG overall due to outlandish changes in mixture. There are mods to fix the issue but unless the town or state has not passed laws that limit tampering with the onboard computer. I wonder if they did it right. |
