Only you can decide if it's worth it to you.

IMO....

YES. but only because i've seen what can be done by the modders. If it wasnt for the modders then i'd say no. too many bugs and unfinished state.

I picked up my SH5 collectors ed. yesterday. the game is still good but its nowhere near as good as SH3 GWX. You'll need a few mods to fix the game brake'n bugs (like the morale bug). Mods can be found in the download section of this website.

But SH5 will take awhile before its fully playable. So dont be in a hurry to buy it.

But dont blame me if you do buy it and dont like it. Theres plenty of opinions on this website. Maybe its worthwile to wait for Neals Review. Should be soon. Eh Neal? hint, hint, Wheres this damn review.

if its the same as the oz one:

the map aint anything to write home about.

the only good thing about the hardcover book is that it smells nice (if you are the type of person who winds down the window at the petrol station).
The recognition manual pages are split across 2 pages so the spine prevents detail being seen. The crew profiles are identical to that in the paper guide with the keycode (which i assume u get with the normal version).
The torpedos page list absolutely no information about the torpedos. Just a picture and the name T1/T2/T4. Really is a useless book.

Havent played the music CD yet...wonder if that is DRM'd too

$120 NZ? What's that in $US?

I think it's a severe ripoff in Australia. Sounds like a bunch of cheap crap of no particular use, all vastly over-priced. Same thing SEGA did with Empire and Napoleon TW games. Common gouging trick from publishers; those games are shockingly over-priced in Australia without the tacky baubles.

I can't give you advice, however, as I refuse to buy the game with OSP/DRM.

If you get the soundtrack, YES. Otherwise NO, get the normal version. Nothing but the soundtrack is worth anything in the CE. Unless you like the box that is.

all the stuff they put in that "steel" box is needles apart from the DVD with game.

Get the standard version, dont waste the additional $30 its not gonna be worth it seriously! Hell d/l it from steam for about $75 (49.99USD).
Game is good for a vanilla version but get some mods into it and its worth it.
