Default Can we bring back the old style explosions

These Hollywood type explosions are garbage. Can we someone mod the older style explosions with debris?

A good idea since the "fireworks display" seems to be the only thing slowing the game down for us on old single core machines.

And realistic sinkings, please. Too much ships in flames. Are all of them loaded with high explosives or flammable liquids?

i think its only the particle explosions all over above some ships...
