I wonder where did they get the computer generated models used in presentations. They look interesting, and the way they rotate reminds me of the old Aces of the Deep.

They either commisioned it,. or bought it 'off the shelf'. This looks like the models that was used. Whether it was a commision or not, It doesn't say.

When I watched this special on TV, it was counting down the Top 10 submarines of all time, and when it said, "and the Number 1 submarine will be next after this commercial break.." I totally proved my uberness by guessing out loud.. "I bet it's the Type VII" to my girlfriend..

You should of seen the look of my girlfriend's face when it came back on

Thanks for the plan

I had to use partly a copy of that drawing and then use photographs of that drawing to get the cross sections references, for modeling a Type VII sub.

I did the same.

It was easy to do though - they hadn't mentioned it at all in the bottom 9, so it was really a process of elimination thing. My girl just rolled her eyes though.
