Default Google Groups Forum Accuses Neal

Extracted item:

You can read any forum at subsim without registering except the SH5
forum. I guess Neal is in Ubisoft's pocket and is providing them with
some damage control because the more people that read about Ubisoft's
planned DRM for SH5 the more customers they lose.

Just one poster's opinion. Who cares?

And why not post there to contradict them?

Quick! Shoot him!

I noticed that it was unavailable to people who were not logged in a while ago, rather like the SH4 forum was for a time. It was during subsim's yoyo phase though, so it may have been some glitch. It's fine now.

It's quite simple: Many people that come to this forum 'off the street', as it were, are the type of gamer that would, shall we say, cause problems that you would see on many of those other types of game forums. Having people register and have a bit less in the way of anonimity reduces the volume of poor citizenship. If you're going to flame, flame with a nickname.

My understanding was - that Neal had to limit the number of access-lines to SH5 forums as, for a few days, traffic was increadible so Subsim would end up in traffic-jam.

It happened to me that ( as member ) could not access SHV site at least 7-8 times in a last week of January and first week of February.

Boiling point...

And wide-community is disgusted and outraged with Ubi's DRM ... so they see "DRM quisling" in poor Neal - just for his effort to keep the situation under control...

I don't quite know myself why this thread exists. Originally I thought it was a 'did anyone have this problem' thread, but it seems not. Just to clarify, I don't believe Neal would collude with a software company as alleged. He's always come accross as a man of high standards and low cut tops, who remains calm in the face of controversy.

Surprised they didn't say "Big Gaming" or "Big Ubi", since that kind of buzzwords seems to be the norm these days.

Oh, and we need a small-time, locally produced organic alternative. Preferably released on wooden DVD's. Oh, and you have to come to the game producers to pick up the copy. It's better for the environment that way, you see.

Oh, maybe we need a Norway standard of internet connection for all the SH community? With no drops of connestion 7 times per day... and min. 512 sending speed of connection ?

We are just defending Neal's position in this mess, caused by DRM.

And doing that trough Ubi's position and approach is the worst way... beleive me, mate...
