Default Petition Ubisoft to exempt SHV from DRM?

Should we start a petition to ask Ubisoft to exempt Silent Hunter V and any future Silent Hunter releases from this online DRM scheme?

I'm not as against it as some other people are (my computer won't be able to run SHV anyway, so it's a bit of a moot point), but I fear that if the DRM hurts sales significantly, it'll be the end of the Silent Hunter series, and sub sims for a long time to come.

I'm not fear about the end of it. The end will come anyway. But if we ever have a full featured top notch WW2 theme modded u-boat simulator it's the end of story. Everyone's happy and that's it..

Just like the petition for the SH3 Developer kit?

Consider this

though i think circulating a paper copy would be taken more seriously

Drop full time online requirement from all games!

Judging from all other similar experiments, they have all failed

I guess no one here is against clever copy-protection.
but an "OSP" with the need of staying online permanently is the worst UBI can do.

petition signed!

Not true, show me one that has failed due to DRM. The only truly comparable title at the moment is RoF and it is doing fine.

I prefer not to need a connection so:

SIGNED

but I am not fussed either way.

Default Keep fighting guys until we win!

I signed already against the most stupid idea for copyright protection ever. And I hope what the Ubi monkeys recognize their big mistake. So I am still praying hard (Das DRM joke) to see SH5 without this Draconian system.

I hope you enjoy with this image which reflect my opinion about the Ubi-suits.

Dear Ubisoft,

At the time of this post, in an active poll in another thread, out of a total of 588 members here.......

356 voted to wait for no online DRM beforte purchasing the game
93 are not going to buy it at all
59 will cancel their pre-order
80 are fine with the DRM

I suspect that you'll find these numbers reflected in other forums accross the web. Are you really so arrogant as to ignore this reaction?
