Maybe they knew it wasn't selling well in USA, so they'd try selling it to Germany.

Probably not, since they already negotiate touring in the US as well.

The article say that another Obama musical has opened in London as well.

So far he hasn't done much more than repairing the shattered relations with his allies.

Has he? After copenhagen he is even more under fire from Europeans. And Germany also prepares to cross blades with him over Afghanistan. Relations are in now way like they have been expected to become with Obama. and it does not surprise me.
