It's Christmas Eve here in Sydney and I'd just like to say have a great Christmas and New Year one and all.

It's been a fun 2009 and I'm looking forward to bringing you the 2010 Subsim Machinima Festival soon.

Ironically enough in its own right (in the sense of it being incorporated into what is generally considered by people to be a "Christian" holiday), "Yule" refers to the Scandinavian Pagan ritual of hosting a winter festival and feast every year immediately after the solstice took place, ending a short time after January began. For that matter, December 25th has long been held as a time for worshiping sun gods throughout various religions, including Sol, Elah-Gabal, and Mithra (who is essentially a parallel of Jesus deriving his roots in Persia and the Roman Empire 600 years before the time of Jesus and the apostles). Just some fun facts.
