Did a search for this and cant find the answer...Why is the water so darn shallow in all of the ports?

The topography that makes a good port also means shallow water.
Most are in small or large inlets so you naturally have shallow water. It's not shallow for a surface vessel, only to a sub trying to sneak in and sink said surface vessels. ![]() Magic

Maybe has something to do with...the closer you get to land, the shallower the water gets.......

Shallow water means less wave activity and protection from those nasty subs trying to sneak in and blow them up ![]() I dont know of any deep water ports in the game I think Pearl is about as close to one as you can get. But you might get into trouble sinking stuff there.
