First Patrol

I have just bought silen hunter 3.
I started a new campaign and i started the first patrol. But when i'm done with the patrol and i have finished my objectives my submarine won't dock in the harbour. Could you please help me with this problem because I can't even finish the first patrol roght now.

Press the ESCape on your keyboard and you will be given the option to dock at your base,welcome aboard

Can someone give me a quick walkthrough of what a patrol entails? It's been a while since I played; and that was on SH4.

I seem to remember that you get orders to go to a place. You go there, radio in, and start patrolling. When you run low on fuel or torpedoes, you go home and dock.

But I know SH3 had some crew management system. Like you have to pick out crew-members before you leave and rotate them manually every so often.

Finally, what are the must-have mods for an otherwise stock game?
