First of all, I'm moving and taking only my luggage.

This requires that I get a laptop and get rid of my desktop.

Number two

my SH3/GWX2.1 won't load anymore, it shows an error in an exe file.

All new and refurbished computers come with vista.

I would like to get a laptop (if I can afford it) that will handle GWX 3.0.
Then get a disk without the Starforce thing. Someone mentioned that Amazon sells SH3 without Starforce--which one is it?

Oh great gurus and computer geeks, I NEED ADVICE!.

For the time being, I gave Balz a job ashore.
I am flying off to Chile on 15 February and will be off the internet while I find an apartment and get hooked up online.

Reformat, install WinXP SP3, et voila.......problems solved for a long time

I really don't understand why ppl get Vista in the first place

Hello Brag, I buy a new SH3 cd by Amazon.co.uk
on the lower left site there is eXclusive Focus.

When I have my new Comp. it was preinstal of Vista I told the guy i did not want that so he removed the HD an put in a new one empty so I instal Xp pro.

As already suggested......just reformat and put XP Pro (my preference) in.

Or better yet...if you have a big enough Hard drive...set up a DUAL BOOT with both WinXP and Vista http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_v...step_guide.htm

When my computer crashed I reloaded Vista (32) with the
phone help of an Alienware tech. I then downloaded SHIII
from Direct2Drive (already patched). It loaded with no problems.

I then loaded GWX 3 and some mods over SHIII. Again it
loaded fine and I am up and running with Gold.
