Default Map scrolling by moving cursor to edge?

I seem to recall that, in my previous SH3 life, if I moved my mouse to the edge of the navigation map, it would scroll the map in that direction? It's not working that way now...which makes course plotting a real pain. Was this ability from some forgotten MOD or do I have an issue?

SH3 patched to 1.4b
GWX2.1
SH3Commander

Thanks

BTW...I searched "map AND scroll", "map AND cursor", "map AND cursor AND scroll" etc. etc. without any luck.

Thanks

"Click and Pull" doesn't work for me when the course plotting map tool is selected? It just drags the course line but doesn't scroll the map. Am I hallucinating here or was this ever possible? Plotting a course from tight quarters, where I am zoomed in pretty close, to open water, farther along is what I'm attempting. I could swear that I used to be able to put the cursor on the edge of the map, no matter what "map tool" I had selected (if any) and the map would scroll in the direction of the cursor? In other words...with course plotting tool selected, I could move the course plotting cursor to the top edge of the map and, after a very slight delay, the map would scroll North? I've probably killed a million brain cells since my last foray into SH3 :rotfl: so maybe I'm imagining it?

Most of the time the scrolling in the Nav map was a pain especially since you could just hold the left mouse button down and drag the screen. However this can be easily reversed, just go to my FF page and download the Sliding Stations Panel mod, see the readme, it shows where in the menu_1024_768.ini file to change it back.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Reece. I should replace the "ParentID=0x3F000000" with "ParentID=0x31000000" in the 4 blocks mentioned?

This might be of use to you. I ususally either use the arrow keys, or I use the helper tools (the question mark on the end of the toolbar) and then measure a line out from the ship. I then note the angle on the tool and then zoom out with the mouse wheel. I am then able to mark the line at the precise angle at any zoom. Plotting a course after that is a simple matter.
