Default Are you "Handed"?

When given a choice on which attack angle, what do you usually try to make?
I've found, oddly, that I'm always trying to get the target to pass port to starboard. Not that I don't take what's on the plate, but given time and choice, I will.

Anyone else have this quirk?

I usually attack head on. Go head-to-head with the convoy and when the position is right, laucnh the toprsös.

LOL, I think Dowly has 6-8 friends over for tea.:rotfl:

To answer the threads question:

Don't really have a preference. It totally depends on where I am when I receive the contact details.

If I get details of a convoy travelling SW and I'm travelling NW, I'm not about to get 'above' the convoy and turn around.

Approach from a position of ahead....and perpendicular to their course.

I prefer right to left, because 0-90 is easier to work with than 360-270 (I use manual targeting with a torpedo bearing chart a lot)

After drinking Dowly's tea, I usually end up a bit on the port side of the convoy, requiring a right turn to get perpendicular to the targets (that tea is wicked) :rotfl: :rotfl:

Neither, I attack when I get a contact no matter the heading.

I don't think I favor attacks from either side of the target. In the case of convoys it seems like about 2/3 of the time I end up attacking from the port side because that is where I am when the convoy is detected. Probably just a result of the normal convoy routes and my choice of patrol patterns. And lone merchants I usually try to set up with a shot from the stern tubes if I can.

Never thought about it before, but now that you mention it, I usually do find the targets moving from left to right. Not sure why that is, since I don't do anything special to have it that way.
