Default Return to Port Problem and a Request

I've just loaded SH4 for the 4th time. Only because of the great mods that have been made lately and Patch 1.3.

Now, how in hell do you end a patrol? You get Refit and End Patrol (I believe that was it) when you arrive at your port. I did Refit but nothing happened, no damn torpedoes or ammo. After that I selected End Patrol and on restart I still had not been refitted. Ya can't win a war just drivin around with nuthin to shoot the bad guys with. LOL And the manual tells you nothing about this, that I can find. Maybe you just End Patrol and everything is done, and Refit is for stopping at other Ports. I've no idea.

Now one request. Would it be possible to make a mod to end your patrol like it's done in SHIII? Sure would be a lot easier and you'd know you were repaired, refitted and at your dock ready to go once again. Same for resupply at another port or ship and you get Null for your orders. Same as SHIII.

Thanks RDP but I found nothing. I might give End Patrol a shot. After running this one 3 times, I've saved close to port, but not in it, so I can rerun it if I have too. After 3 times I guess I've smartened up just a little. LOL It's hell running a mission with only 4 torpedos leftover from the previous patrol. Funny thing is my ammo was resupplied but not the fish. Now I know why I like SHIII/GWX better.

That's a bit of a strange one GT182, I have never had a problem ending a patrol or re-fitting, always got the torps, fuel.

Thanks RDP but I've got TM 1.5. I haven't run it yet as I wanted to see how things are with Patch 1.3 before I put too many mods in.

If I can get a mission to end so I'm refueled and rearmed then I'll install TM1.5.

Sometimes you have to load the torpedos yourself while in port.

As to the fuel thing I have no idea.

Sounds like you started in manilla in 12/41. The base changes to soerbuaja (however you spell it), and then again to fremantle a month or two later. This throws some people off wondering why they can't dock.

Refit (available at any US naval base) is a misleading name. It really means Rearm and refuel. It will only resupply torepdos in their storage areas, it will NOT refload your tubes. So you'll have to rearm/refuel once to take on torpedos, load the tubes to make more room, and then rearm/refuel again to take on more torpedo's.

For some odd reason after you dock, you have to reload torpedos yourself. The game doesnt do it for you. Personally ill rearm/refuel before docking, and then load by hand whatever is still empty.

Like SH3, can only be done at the base your flotilla is currently stationed at.

If all goes well, i hope to have 1.6 posted at the end of the week. Some bug fixes, alot of aircraft spawn adjustments, and some new mods included. It will also be the first version where it is a true stand alone mod with everything included except for CC's mod that modfies the games menus, or any radio mods. Their just too big to include.
