Whats your longest career?

I was thinking has anyone ever made it to 1945? The closeest I've ever made it was till '44 and was sunk right outside Dover, and this was stock SH3. Who far has your career lasted to(in any mod or stock SH3)?

I made it from '39 to late '43 in van...er... unmodified SHIII.

I haven't made it past early 1942 in GWX yet.

Longest career was Kaptl. Josef Steinadler. 1939 - 1944. I forget the U# but it was of the U-flak type conning tower and the boat was lost to air attack while crash diving to evade 4 bombers off of Cape Town South Africa some time in March of 1944. (GWX 100% realism)

Best career was about 6 months shorter and only perhaps 60K tons difference (GWX 100%)

Made it to early '44 once at 86% realism but I quit out of frustration and reverted to the happier times of 1940. Couldnt get any enjoyment out of the continous dive and surface routine that accompanies Allied air supremacy. Should have stuck with that career though cos I've never made it that far again:hmm:

Working on my 18th or 19th patrol in late 1941 (October I believe) In U-96. Yes I know I don't stay out that long...*shrugs* it's getting dangerous out there...and I've got about...300,000+ tonnes on that one and got all the medals before april of 41.

All merchs and small warships. Haven't sunk any of the big ones yet.

Longest career in stock SH3 is from 39 til late 42, having sunk a total of 210,00 tons of shipping . Still going strong with GWX (for the moment), just got to 1941.

Only one career has lasted all the way, from outbreak of war to the end, and that was U-77. She was an type VIIC U-Flak at the end and I sailed her home to Willhemshaven after receiving Doenitz order to give up.
Started in vanilla and ended in an heavily modded version of the game.

NEVER SURRENDER! Download trainers for unlimited ammo, fuel, batteries, whatever you may need! FIGHT FOREVER! Give the Allied scum HELL! Hey, if that fails, sail to Japan. War's still on there.:rotfl:

If I remember this right, you can keep going to May 30, 23:59 -45 and then the game will CTD.
No one will shoot back at you but you will not get any renown for what you sink after the wars end.
