Hmmmmm so the measure of sentencing someone to death for his books shouldn't have put the islamic societies at odds with british statemen and officials?

IIRC the Fatwa was something like "shoot on sight" or "kill him wherever you find him", meaning any muslim was asked to kill Rushdie even in UK territory :hmm: Aside from any other consideration (Moral, religious...), that's pure and simply an intromision in International Laws system, as one state is incitating to kill against the laws enforced in the territory of another. More or less something similar as if the UK government asked any british residents in Iran to burn books of Quran
