Default AA Guns (Gato Class) sight obstructed

I equipped my Gato (early 1942) with a twin 20mm AA gun. The Gato's AA gun is placed in some sort of semi-enclosed mounting. No problem so far, offers a tiny bit more protection than the German 'wintergarten' counterpart.
However, whenever I'm using the gun manually and raise the gun above 0° elevation and turn it to either right or left, all I get to see is a close-up of my conning tower (more specific: the aforementioned 'mounting'). There is no difference between normal zoomed in and zoomed out.
It doesn't happen with a single 20 mm AA gun, because you are placed closer to the gun.

No, that's no graphic bug, the outside of the tower just obstructs the view.
Does anyone know a workaround?

Its not a bug, its an "undocumented feature" just like those given to us by Gill Bates. Any EVERYONE loves Gill Bates...right?

Dont complain, or you will be stamped a troll. Think positive, in fact I suggest you send more money to ubi.

Just kidding! Its yet another "attention to detail" issue that needs to be fixed. Contrary to some here, I think more people should post bug reports here so that;

A) The dev's know the problems and how we feel about them and...

B) Help those trying to decide if they should buy this game get a realistic picture of what to expect.

Ahh.. yeah I came across that too. But I was pretty sure someone already brought it up and I was too lazy to take a screenshot.

Understandable - but there is a search function.

Right. I'm sure it's just not clear enough to them after the other 40,000 posts rehashing the same issues over and over again.

Submitting "bug" reports, or any other type of concern, in a respectful, legible and mature manner does not get you stamped as a "troll"

Being a "troll" gets you stamped as a "troll".

Know what I'm sayin'?

Troll - troll is someone who intentionally posts derogatory or otherwise inflammatory messages about sensitive topics in an established online community such as an online discussion forum to bait users into responding.

It's not only what you say, it's how you phrase what you say.

Apologist - Apologists have been characterized as being deceptive, or "whitewashing" their cause, primarily through omission of negative facts (selective perception) and exaggeration of positive ones, techniques of classical rhetoric.

As far as myself being labeled a troll, some points.

1) Go back through the SH3 forums, see how much trolling I did. Good luck finding any, because the game worked.

2) We, the gaming community, have become unwitting "beta testers" for increasingly predatory game publishers.

3) SH4 has pushed the envelope far beyond anything I have ever seen since I started gaming back in the DOS days.

Thats all for now.

Did the devs ever play the game and jump into the anti-aicraft double 20mm?

1) They did and ignored the problem.

2) They didnt bother to even check.

Only two options I see.

The AA guns are there just to make you feel better, or as a last resort if you cant dive.

Any skipper that willingly decides to stay top side and duke it out with an airplane is not worthy of command. You guys have to realize the aircraft is your nemesis. You maybe a bad ass tarantula, but the plane is the parasitic wasp thats going to sting you, paralyze you and lay its young in your abdomen.
