Understand this was 2300 hours on October (6?) 1943???
went to the area described and sat stationary from october 1 to october 12 1943. encountered a column of 6 Black Swawns daily, as well as regular DE and DD patrols of the area, in the time i was there i also encountered one tramp steamer. Made no sound contact with any substantial warship tonnage. made no visual contact with any substantial warship tonnage. engaged no enemy shipping, and no enemy shipping engaged me. perhaps it was random?? |
