Default My best start of a patrol...

I don't mean to be a show off but i just couldn't resist. This is definitely the best start of a patrol i've ever had. Check this out.
Patrol 6. I was plowing ahead towards Orkneys when my WO reported a DD on the horizon. Periscope depth and rigged for silent running. Then the soundman got another 4 signatures. I took a peak through the scope and there they were on the collision course a pack of 5 DD's doing 15 kts. A task force of some kind... yeah, the worst, sub hating kind, filled up to the brim with DC's. "What the heck" i thought, 6 patrols is quite a long time at sea and if it ends now then, well... Battle stations!!!
Checked the recognition book and adjusted torp's running depths. Tubes 1, 2, 3 than 90 degrees to portside and 5. Bang on target, all of them. Woohooo!!! But one DD is still out there and he got a sniff of me, "not much use of silent running now" i thought... Ahead flank! Twisted and turned like a snake, took some DC's fired 4 torp's at it, all missed, and then out of the blue came a Condor and bombed it! Didn't do much damage though but lit it up and got it off the course. That was my chance...
Sent him a fish right in the nose! Yeah! But he was still going and somehow decided to do a runner! "Right" i thought, "I'm going after you". By the time i got into shooting distance and reloaded a torp, he was dipping it's nose in the North Sea's floor.
Here are some pics:

Hehe, you mess with me, you get a bloody nose... (that's the last of the DD's)

sniffing the mud...

DD Task Force "kaputt" in whole

How about that Kaleuns? I'll continue the patrol although this encounter took 9 torps out of my boat. Wish me luck then...

Nice work

But how come the torp in the front did not dud?

Myself I got knights cross with oak leaves swords and diamonds and have not sunk a single ton of warship hardware..

Magnetic detonators set on. And damage looks that cool 'cause of OB's Final Torpedo Damage Mod.

I love it! 5 DDs must be some sort of record. Well done
I would have never dared.
