I'm new to anything but the vanilla SH3 and i'm used to black, red or green map icons.
Is looking at the flag the only way of IDing ships these days? Even at 10X those tiny little flags are damn hard to see! Stix |

Yes....the game mods make the realism more in tune to reality and place an importance on positive ID of the target.

I would think that they would have investigated any ship contact, lighted or not, and so I'm not sure how effective it would have been to do this.

![]() ![]() when being at a high TC-rate and encountering a hostile ship, the WO reports it with "ship spotted". If its neutral or friendly, the ship-spotted-message displays in the window at the center bottom but no sound is played. |
