Just a suggestion. Some of the vessels you'll come across are based on random values and you info may not be valid for the next kaleun that comes along :hmm:
i like to harbour spyraid.... its a wacko job and perfect for me.... it helps others to...
like my instructions for gibraltar.

BE 39, called Tanker alley by Mohr....

I did find traffic there, but no tankers. Shipping moves in pairs and generally without escorts...

This looks nice for a daring harbor raid: some nice tonnage

Dunkirk: operation Dynamo. (end of May, start June '40)

But: it is pretty busy!

Through the Gibraltar straight and into the med. Sunk a few ships and wondering if I arrived here too early. Jan 1940 and the place is VERY quiet.

then start a test career in 1944 at an italian base and try to pass gibraltar
see if there is more movement or the same in 1940

Anyone here on a Monsun boat?

Because I don't know which place to go... apart from that spot about 300-500 km's southeast of the Cape, where a taskforce shows up on a northwestern course, which is actually a heavily guarded convoy with a Bogue...

Is there anything to hunt for between Madagaskar and the African continent? How about the Street of hormuz?

some more eastern med, got transfered to la Spezia just when I was outside Alexandria
it was a very frustrating patrol, could easily have been 100k but no-o of course some big ones wouldn't sink
slammed 3 fish into the HMS King Georg V, she slowed down, heavy listing, missed a screw and half her boilers out of action, still sails off,
Hit the HMS Nelson as well, 1 mag fish right underneath the tower, but no bada-boom, just slows down, shrugs it off and sails on, that's 60k tonnes not mine

I did get a cunard liner, another 45k tonnes, and shot down a sunderland that was harassing me while making an approach on said Liner

right, on to the info

29-4-42 0042u enemy warship grid CO1932 SSW 16kts
1018u friendly warship CO1175 ENE 12 kts

30-4-42 1.20u 50km east of CO9355 ship ESE Medium (this was the cunard liner plus a black swan

1100u 90km West by 10km North of Alexandria, Destroyer TF heading E fast

1-5-42 00.00u 2 CLs leaving Alexandria course N 14 kts
1610u CO6985 TF course 110 20 kts contains Nelson Rodney King george V 5 didos and assorted DDs

2-5-42 CO6811 ship W slow

5-5-42 1800u CO5599 small convoy Course E slow

6-5-42 2310u CO4522 ship WNW Slow
7-5-42 1120u CO4183 ship WNW slow
2300u Task force grid CO4642 E Fast

and especially for Herr Mohr, Alexandria is heavily guarded, a least 5 DDs patrolling 3 active elcos didn't get a chance to even see any ships in the port

from now on I'll be sailing from la spezia, which is a lot less convenient than Salamis, oh well, I'll be gathering info on the area around Sicily I guess
