If you feel lucky, the Bristol Channel is chock full of shipping...just don't go too far in. You do have to deal with the PT boats and air coverage, but if you play conservatively and carefully, the tonnage is worth it..

edit: DAMNIT!!! by entering the harbour the Ju88's show up...
i guess il pay Göring a visit when im home

edit2: no ships dammaged by the Ju88's. destroyed a J&K DD that was stational in the harbour. a torpedo boat smashed itselve into a wall and sank.

in the harbour are :

3x light tankers
3x tramp steamer (trampdampfer)
2x small merchants
1x large merchant
1x ocean liner
1x Fiji BB
1x J&K DD (destroyed this one)
1x unknown type of torpedo boat (crashed into a wall)
and 1x RAF high speed boat

this time im on my way to Portsmouth... verry close but hard to get there.... lots of DD's

edit: im in the base. had to maneuver manualy to get inside.

there are 2 DD's there one on patrol and one stationary.
when i arrived it was bad weather and the patroling DD got stuck in a pier.

anyway... in the harbour is LOTS of tonnage. spotted 2 medium and 3 small tankers.
there are more ships but cant see what kind.

edit2: i waited for good weather and then i spotted another medium cargo.
of all the ships there is 1 neutral cargo ship.

Found the HMS Hood docked in Plymouth. 5 eels later and well you know the story. October 26, 1939 was the date. Made it out alive too! Just be prepared to be patient. Ran into an incoming Task Force also on my way out heading south. Just freighters, pass/cargos and the Hood were in Plymouth Harbour btw. Tons of DD's and Armed Trawlers patrolling the entrance as well as the bay. Sorry, but I have no screenshots for reference.

you sure it was Portsmouth ? there is also a Portland

today im of to portland.

on my way i got attacked by a elco. returned fire with deck gun and destroyed the little basterd.

the next day i spotted a V&W DD and crash dived. he was firing so i was pannicing until i spotted he wasnt firing at me.

this time i could kiss Göring 8 stuka's were attacking the DD.

edit: reached Portland harbour. 2 armed trawlers and 1 DD are patroling the area.

edit:4 after destroying realy everything in the harbour i set sail to my home base. wasnt far out the harbour and struck another subnet in front of the base.

you have to go to the south enterance and when in front of it you have to turn to the north enterance. that way you will evade the subnets

Re-confirming Tanker Alley . es, it is there, but occasionally there will be several days without ships. Large, medium, small. Also large and medium freighters. Great place to get huge tonnage. Ocasional destroyers and a few neutral tankers.

U-64 harbour spyraidboat.

on my way to bristol. right now im in the bristolkanal. sank a passangership/merchant a tramp steamer and armed trawler on my way.
(they litteraly got in my way :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )

got attacked by sea hurricane's and was forced to dive.

il update when im dead or in the harbour

edit: destroyed 5 more ships 4 of them at the harbour. right now im reloading my torpedo's inside the harbour in the middle of all merchants.

we survived every dinner but my crew is suffering from it.
momentaly we havnt spot a ship since we left willemshaven.

6 september 1939 14:20. to good weather.
sailed around brittania to reach grid AM19.
sank 3 ships on my way.

12 september 1939.
Grid AM64 00:09.
sank 5 more ships. 2 DD's,2 coastal tankers and 1 small merchant.
5 eels left. still continuing to Liverpool.

15 september 1939. 06:29.
entering the small river to Liverpool.
sank 2 more DD's and a armed trawler

19:33.
so far so good. destroyed another armed trawler that was patrolling the river.
1 eel left and 500 or 700 meters away from the harbour.

16 september 1939.
Liverpool Harbour 02:47.

finaly arrived and spotted:
1 armed trawler
1 small merchant
1 medium merchant
1 large merchant
1 fishingboat
2 tramp steamers

Neutrals:
2 modern medium tankers

and coastal arty

12:22.
spotted 2 small fishing boats.
the rest in the harbour is destroyed (except the neutrals)

Sorry meine herrn, I was thinking, since a lot of them appear randomly, RND layer, it is impossible to pinpoint them on either an exact location, nor a specific time.

Even SH3Gen says something of this, because of the rnd layer it isnt possible to have all the ships, some spawn.
