That was supposed to be a representation of Churchill but you know those ubootsmen weren't renowned for their artistic skills.

Your rendition vaguely reminds me of a famous sidekick of a certain resident living at 221b Baker St. Still very nicely done, though.

Your additon of artistic flair to the "WC" emblem is truly inspired genius!

I hope someone gathers all these emblems together into an addition for SH3/GWX.

Thanks, but alas.....my emblems aren't noted for their historical authenticity.

Especially given the modern tools used. They're really better suited for an U-Boat parody......

The site doesn't belong to me. It was put together by a longtime Swedish friend and ace Il-2 pilot named Thomas. Sadly, the WPL threads and topics they were made for have long since evaporated, and a lot of those forum members are long gone, but they're still fun to look at.

i have been ordered by BdU to remove all identifying marks from my conning tower.

they were afftaid it would make me a target more so than i already am. the felt that by having the ability to identify a particular sub by its emblem, and thus giving the allies the ability to speculate that the skipper was an ace they might press their attacks more aggressively.

What's BdU coming to....Do they really think a destroyer would try harder to kill a sub when they know who are in it?
And...I doubt any destroyer or merchant would get the chance to identify a conning tower! (even IF you're caught on the surface)

I like the iron cross with the swastika as well. Really because it is anti politicaly correct. I do anything I am not supposed to do. If a pink pony was considered bad I would have that on there.
