In September 1941 he left U-46, and took over the U-567, wich was sunk 21 December, 1941, with all hands lost.... Some rumors say that before he left U-46, he personally painted and signed a picture of the U-46 and gave to the crew he had served with on that boat...This is said to be that picture.."
