The file structure of the game goes like this.

Silent Hunter / Data / Textures / TNormal and TLowRes / tex

In the graffic's settings for the game there is a box you can check for Normal Textures. If this is not checked for use the game goes to low res textures for most of the game file's.

Seeing most mod's are made to use the TNormal textures like ROW if this is not being used you can get unusual and strainge effects.

Sub's not rendering properly if you are using custom sub skin's and more.

Sorry I didn't know about this so I guess for now only people running T.M. can use those depth charge and bomb file's right now.

Anyone useing RFB and RSRD can not seem to use the file without problems.

I will work on making compatable download's for them and try to have them out this weekend for the one's that need it.

Okay, I've uninstalled NVDrifter's mod but the depth charge problem remains
Now what?

So your saying you still have a depth charge dropping loop problem with the DD's?

If so I am at a loss because the camera file changes from ROW do not effect anything at all but the sub camera view's in game. The only possable reason for this to happen is the Depth Charge and Bomb file changes as far as I know.

I personaly do not have this problem in my game I got the hell pounded out of me from the DD's in the Midway Single mission and watched the DD's drop them and heard them drop in game too with the splash in the water.

But I use Triger Maru as a base game play mod and then Taters new depth charge work with limited number of DD depth charges and then added the new file's from NVDrifter's mod on top of them.

Bill do you want to work with me to find a solution to the problem? Send me in a PM your list of activated mod's please so we can get started.

Turn on JSGME and under tasks export activated mod's list. Then go to the Mods folder and at the bottom look at the Activated mod's list text file. Make sure the Depth Charge shake file IS NOT activated in that list.

Hey, Dave:

I've not been able to visit this forum lately because I'm just working way too much. I see ROW still has a full head of steam and is looking better than ever!

My hat's off to you, and I just can't say enough about how you and your team has transformed SH4 into the game it was meant to be.

But seem to have a new set of problems to handle now with the Depth Charge shake mod that I tryed to make ROW compatable. The camera part is cool but not the other part with the actual depth charge's with the RFB and RSRD mod.

I just have to find out what the difference is compaired to T.M. seeing it is only simple sim file's. Another words download the other mod's just to find 2 file's in each of them.

ROW - speed way slow; cannot be right.

Hi; Install ROW and it looks fantastic! However, I downloaded and installed the hi-res sea foam and when another ship is near my FPS drop to 1? I am running a dual core 4200+ with 2 GIG ram and an ATI X1950 PRO video card, so I wouldn't think my system is a slug. Could it be the way I installed it with JSGME? My install order was Tigger Maru 1.62 and then all of the ROW mods (not everyone per say, but the ones I chose to DL from each catagory).

_ followup; just found TM 1.6.5 which states it is ROW compat., which I take to mean 1.62 was not. DL'ing now.

Big system indeed, but NLT my ATI card is near the very top of the ATI list. Am reinstalling all the mods now and will let you know.

That system of yours must have cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Works fine now, was just in the middle of the Jap fleet at Midway and still maintained 50FPS. SWEET.

Where did you get the cool colour for your control bar at the bottom, that looks fantastic. Is that the medalhud kit? I also noticed you have a TM 3 month patrol, will have to look for that.

IT is too bad that a lot of the Yank computer stores won't ship to Canada now that our dollar is worth more

Hiya Chris,
The fancy bar hud is on page 2 of mods workshop about 1/2 way down ..............

or use this link

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=122689

Now for the TM patrol fix, Goto the TM 1.6.5 folder in mods folder (jsgme mods folder) in there i think it's in support, Copy which mod you want either 2mth or 3mth etc then copy n paste into jsgme mods folder then enable

To use hud/chrono just copy folders into mods folder n enable (if i rem right i unzipped to desktop then chose regular chrono and the shiney hud then those folders i slapped into mods n enable)

Hope this helps

Have Fun

Ciao

Dave, I also experience the depth charge anomoly, and also use RFB. Gonna have to disable the depth charge mod and test tomorrow. Will post test results in the morning.

For the time being the one I posted is just for Triger Maru.

Will have the others ready for tomarrow for download I promise!

Lurker got the file's to me in a PM that I need for doing it so I can easily get this done.

Just need to wait for tomarrow seeing I am being forced to help put up the Christmas light's and tree right now.
