[REL] Kill Flags Mod

Hey dt wow things are even more impressive now, i really like the hull numbers, ya ya not the most historicly accurate thing but it adds more depth to the sim in my opinion.

Anyway on my first patrol since i got home, new boat, ss-184 skipjack, i always hate hearing or reading the history on these boats and find out they were used for target practice, in this case 184 was sunk by atomic bomb in 46 then raised and sunk again by rocket attack from a good ol plane hmmm, kind of kicks ya were the sun dont shine, when u think about what the men and these boats went through.

Thanks, jonesy. I know what you mean about reading the boats history. When I get a new boat, I'm almost afraid to check out it's history for fear of what I might find. It's very educational though. I've learned more about the war from playing this game than I ever did in school.

dt , i second that, didnt know jack about the war in the pacific, until now thanks to this kick ass contribute to the ww2 vets.

Hey Gents,

what a great discussion. as a history buff, I get such a thrill out of reading the war patrols of the Thresher, still my only command , what a connection we can make to the war in the Pacific!

As a side-side project, I am working on putting newsreels from 1937-1946 online ( while learning how to build a video player, etc, etc)

I'm waiting for the SS 217 USS Guardfish conning tower + commisioning plaque.
I see it already in queue, right after USS Grouper, on the first page of the thread... should I resend a new boat commission request? Is there any sort of ETA?

Btw great job with the battleflags!

Thanks, Jack. Yep, anyone still waiting on a boat that hasn't been created yet should send in a new commission request. I'm sure some of the folks that were waiting for new boats have gone on to new careers or taken new boats, so we just want to make sure that we get the ones in use out first.

I'll be sending a new commission request this very minute, I've been waiting for the new conning tower to be released before starting a new construction career on the Guardfish.

I added the boat number on the hull at the bow like I've been doing for others. If you don't want the number on the hull, just remove the NSS_Balao_O01.dds from the BlahBlahBlah\Data\Submarine\NSS_Balao folder in the conning tower kit before you enable it with JSGME.
