Well, there's no reason why you couldn't have kill symbols on the conning tower with no graphic ship symbol (like the octopus for the Drum). Putting the boat number on the conning tower is a bit of a letdown since one side would be reversed.

@VonHammer Glad you liked it that way. Sorry for any confusion about what I had in mind.

well it seems like i have been sucessful enough to recive a new command. i have been given comand of the USS Balao, SS-285. i was wondering what this means for my kill flags. will they transferver to my new boat?

Sorry, cap'n, but the flag stays with the boat. I recently got a new boat myself and it was sad to see my old flag go, but it's just that much incentive to go out and fill up a new flag. She's third in line for creation, so hopefully it won't be too long before the conning tower kit will be available. The flag has been created, so as soon as you finish your first patrol I'll be able to do your battle flag and signature flag.

P.S. Since I'm not too sure who's still in line for a new boat, I went ahead and made the USS Balao. It's now available in the boat download section for anyone else that wants it.

In trying to catch up on the new boat work as fast as possible, we need to find out who is still waiting in line for a new boat (one that hasn't been created yet). I just put the Balao up today, so that one can come off the list.

Would anyone who is still waiting for a new boat please send in a commisioning request form (available at http://battleflags.net/request/request.php ) so we can get the queue lined up for new boats.
