Oh mein Gott, Ostrock!
Well they did not quite sound like that back then, but they were heard in West Germany, too. Astonishing how they play, that's not Krautrock and nice in its own way.. always had a sweet spot for "Jede Stunde"

There was an instrumental group from the Sixties that I used to enjoy a whole lot. So a few selections from the Ventures.

There was a local news report about the remaining members of Led Zeppelin coming to Los Angeles to appear in a plagiarism lawsuit involving the lifting of the riffs for "Stairway To Heaven" from an earlier song by the group Spirit. This brought to mind the host of other lifts LZ did during their time. We've all heard "I Can't Quit You Baby"; here is the original by the original, live:
Otis Rush - I Can't Quit You Baby Speaking of great singers and guitarists, here is a man who influenced so, so many guitarists: T-Bone Walker - Don't Throw Your Love On Me So Strong T-Bone Walker - Hey, Baby T-Bone with one of his 'students', B. B. King: T-Bone Walker & B. B. King - Sweet Sixteen One of the T-Bone clips has Willie Dixon playing bass in the backup band, but he also co-wrote a song LZ 'borrowed': Willie Dixon - You Shook Me I have a fondness for Willie Dixon because he used to be a guest very frequently on a local NPR blues show. He had an astonishing memory and could give the names of all the musicians and the sessions in which he participated while at Chess Records. Given that Willie was pretty much the chief songwriter, session bass player, arranger and general go-to guy for Chess, he had a lot of memories to retell. One of my favorites was how he had taken a song he had written to Howlin' Wolf, a very large, very short-tempered, and very intimidating man, and Wolf looked over the song, grunted out his dissatisfaction, and tossed the song sheet back at Willie. Willie smoothed out the paper and said, quietly, "Well, I'll give it to Muddy (Waters, an often rival of the Wolf)". Wolf immediately rose up, grabbed the song sheet from Willie growling, "If Muddy wants it, he can't have it! I'm doing this song!"... Willie said, thereafter, when he wanted Wolf to record a song Wolf didn't want to do, he used the same ploy; Wolf never caught on... <O>
