Greetings Urmel!
Glad you like the work so far. All the Turms will be done soon as possible. All the reflections will be corrected also. Plus each Turm will allow placement of things on the Turm. Life Rings, Plaques, do-dads, whatever. Those objects will be in a seperate dat so no further work on the Turms themselves will need to be done. Simply editing the eqp file will enable them. @Murr44, If the 7c_8 is in Tarjaks pak, you won't need to do a seperate install. Otherwise the order does not matter. I'll release each Turm as I finish them. Once all are done, I'll do a full group so there will only be one install also. Another thing the Full install will do is remove all the old Emblems. Those will be placed in the Backup folder of JSGME. Less things to wade through then. @Owner, Do you know what the error message is? A screen shot would confirm my thoughts. But I'm pretty sure I know the problem. Untill I can re-build one of my systems? I can not work on the fix needed. |

I've combined the VIIB and VIIC Historic turms into a single pack. This pack fixes a number of errors both in formatting and placement of emblems and covers a the VIIC's from U-69 up to U-291 so far. I'm keeping the pre-war pack separate as not everyone plays the August 1939 campaign start.
Would you guys prefer the pack to be a single DL for the whole lot or be able to pick and choose so that load times are kept down and you only load the turm type for the boat type you are playing? I'll keep going on the next release which will continue to extend the emblems for the VIIC's as quickly as I can. You can DL the updated pack here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1031 |

Hi privateer,
thanks for the great work ![]() Quote: "Plus each Turm will allow placement of things on the Turm. Life Rings, Plaques, do-dads, whatever. Those objects will be in a seperate dat so no further work on the Turms themselves will need to be done. Simply editing the eqp file will enable them." Is it possible to add also the 'twisty' periscope thingy with this method to the periscope? http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ghlight=twisty That would be really great. It adds a lot of immersion. The periscope looks so much nicer with it. Since there has been a version for GWX, I guess Flakmonkey would be fine if one uses his model. Cheers, LGN1 |

The Twisty Periscope Thingy was made for GWX 1.03. It seems to work alright with "stock" GWX 3.0 sub skins. From what I've been told though, it may not work so well with some skin mods: you may get weird looking textures.
P.S. Thanks Tarjak (& Privateer too) for your work on this mod. Last edited by Murr44; 04-15-09 at 02:03 PM. |

Hi Murr44,
I know that it works with GWX 3 and actually, I have added it to my GWX 3 files. However, if I am not wrong it uses the same files so there is a conflict and people have to choose what they want. Either the emblems,... or the twisty thingy (I guess most users do not want to add the twisty thingy to the turm files themselves). That's why I ask privateer to combine both. I hope he will do it. Best, LGN1 |
