Roger roger! I just happen to have my SFX test missions set up each with a different wave setting. Also, check your pm for some interesting feedback

Ok so it is TM that is "canceling" out your mod kriller. Is there any way to work around that besides not using TM? Guess I'll have to do what I'm worse at, be patient lol!:p

Hey guys just want to drop a quick line, hope ur all having fun testing and problem solving, i was always excited when i saw a new pm from dave with his new work to try out.

Quick question i went back to sh4 1.4 from 1.5 i was having a total lock up problem for some reason and it seems things r fine now in 1.4, but heres the question, i have pe2 installed and such, does this show oil leaks and the new effects dave and company had towards the end. I remember thier being all that in 1.5 with the 1.5 special effects enabled. But now im back to 1.4 and what gives now, i use tmo rsdc, and nsm4 with row special effects for nsm4. Do i have to enable the older row stuff over pe2 to get the oil stuff and fire smoke effects in 1.4, ha i think i just confused myself anyways my end intent is to have krillers new water and colors because they rock, and the special effects with nsm4 for sh4 1.4.
Anyways i want to say ur work rocks kriller2 and rest of the crew. u need another test bunny in 1.4 land im here for ya.

You can activate ROW Special Effects for NSM4 over PE2 for now, it includes all the effects you mentioned. Soon there will be a new release with some improved stuff as an optional install.

Thanks for the heads up dr beast, ill give that a go, plus kriller just sent me the test stuff too, so im a happy camper and back in the test chair, its kind of riducullous when i think about my setup, i got a 47 inch lg 1080p tv/monitor and let me tell ya the subs and crew r almost life size hahahah. Anyways ill post some screenies and such ill have to revive my wow cant even remember the site i put screenshots on ha.
Anyways see u guys soon with a report.

Ha no problem:rotfl::rotfl: i have to wait 20 minutes to download the file due to a server reset on my end oh well the anticipation is killing me hahaha. Krillers new underwater water ahah ,is awesome, the change to that electric blue to that greenish color is ridiculous, all we need now is a hot mermaid and some little fishies swimming around ,and somehow code the crew on deck to fish, ahahahah great work i forgot who mentioned it first , but heck ya Dave would be proud

Thanks Alex and RcJones,

The sceeenshots we show from the WIP is allways from the best moments of the mod, so there are some issues we are working on

Here is Nisgeis latest great work to improve on the previous dull shell effects, notice the shell effects when the submarine is being hit! Balls of fire with smoke being thrown to the sea...

U bet Kriller2, its been awhile, alot of dumb stuff has happened since i got home but ohwell, anyways those new shell impact sfx look awesome, and about spot on, as far as a dpi, deep penetrator rounds they do leave a nice white flash when they connect with armor/ medal, just from my experience, hahah.

Im firing her up right now im alittle behind schedule, ill punish myself later

ok Im having the same problem ive been having since i got 1.5, it hard locks my computer randomly on explosions, weather it be from a torpedo or what not. sometimes i can play 24 hrs straight and no problem other times i load up the artillery school mission and it crashes as the first plane drops its bombs and explodes then lock up. ive done everything imaginable, heres my current mod list

im going to get rid of everything on 1.5 except the new pe2 for testing and see if she sinks or swims,

other not kriller the smoke and sfx is awesome have some great pics, also the water color is perfect, thats one thing i was liking about wclears was the color, never been to the pacific or anything but it looks believable to me.

Anyways im back to the grind house, oh 1.4 doesnt crash at all, through my testing, and i have a riduculous amount of mods on that install too.

Update, ok, well i researched my problem with crashing and im not the only one experiencing this, basically end result stick with 1.4 until the devs figure out what they did wrong with 1.5 for vista 8800gtx cards, guess its time to get a 9800gx2. and a rebuild when i get back. So im reinstalling one install of 1.4 and will roll with that until a no doubt fix is present, only question for the team is u have sfx for nsm4 classic for 1.5 could that work with 1.4, im going to try it out but since im sticking with 1.4 id like to learn how to make this newer stuff work with 1.4 also.

Ya i second that did u make changes to the underwater? I dont see the cool green down below anymore? Also with my testing in 1.4 the firey explosions do cause i big slow down, i remember this when dave first started with the sfx stuff. heres my current mod list and in order, did it this way acording to readmes, the water looks awesome, ive never seen it look so good. when u do pan to the left or right it does kind of jiggle its kind of hard to explain.

regarding jiggling...

I'm not using PE yet (actually about to install it... been waiting for the next version though, but I can't hold out). But I found that under certain configurations with my graphics card (with the drivers, changing the settings), I had a kind of stutter that was most affected by having a view of the wake or the bow splash. And the higher quality wakes (the wake that comes with TM, instead of stock) made it even worse. I did eventually work it out with nHancer, and now I don't seem to have that problem anymore.

Anyhow, babbling aside... If you're getting any jiggling/stuttering, check your drivers, nHancer (if you use it), etc. May be completely irrelevant in your case or to PE, but it might be worth thinking about.
