Link Dead On Fileshare

Hi

I've tried on and off for 2 days to dload this mod from fileshare and it always errors.

Can you please check status of the FIX.rar version please? The DDS works but I'm looking for the full install in one easy method...'cause I'm lazy...

Thank you...

Elphaba

Filefront always errors for me, well almost. Relax though as it does work. I presume you get a message like this?
"Your download has failed. You have an invalid session set."
Doesn't it also say?
"Click here to try your download again."
Well click there and try again. As a test after reading your post I just did as I always have to do with filefront, and I successfully downloaded the *lbo*fix.rar, so try that again. If not PM me and I'll send it to you by email. Uploading it to another place would perhaps be smoother, but I feel I shouldn't upload someone else's files to another file sharing service without permission.

Hi

Thanks for the advice, but no that isn't the error I'm getting.

It just times out, the green dloading status bar at the bottom of I.E.7 slowly increments until about 1/4 full and then the page clears and I get the standard "INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT DISPLAY THE PAGE" error.

But it ONLY happens with this one link. All the other links on LeoVampires page work, as do all the other FileFront files I've downloaded in the past 2 days.

It's only this Living....fix.rar that gives me this error.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Elphaba

PS: I've now tried it from another physical computer with the exact same results.... so it's not the pc I'm trying to use, I think it's FileFront.

Default for 2 days now I have down loaded the file from

filefront with no issues or problems going by the link on the first post so maybe your security settings are interfearing with the download because the new internet explorer seems to be a pain in the ass with security isues at times. You can not send anyone a file in a P.M. just a link to it so if you want the file send me your e-mail address in a P.M. and I will send it to who ever wants it.

I just took some time off a mission, saved and came over to the forum.
Sank two small cargo ships one after another coming out of Raboul (lucky Shots), then the weather started to turn nasty.

I'm so impressed with this mod.
Just before taking a break I was on the bridge attemping to put a good bit of distance from the area as the swells turned into what I would guess were 15 to twenty five footers, that started to swallow the whole forward part of the boat, then continously crash off the front of the conning tower. If this was the real thing everyone topside would have had to be buckled down.
Nasty gunmetal grey oceans, the sky growing darker,it was time to send the deck crew below and take her down to about 70 ft.
As one who started off as a real sceptic shortly after SHIV was released,I can honestly say I'm ...... well impressed at what all you modders have been able to do in such a short amount of time.
I have been using this new ocean mod for almost a week now,but never expected the weather to turn so rotton as it did this evening.

Default TM 1.5

Is this mod (LBO) incorporated into Trigger Maru 1.5?
I have just finished loading TM 1.5 and the graphic enhances are amazing. I want to make sure I am getting all I can out of SH4 so I want to make sure I have LBO through TM 1.5, if not I will install it too.

( I couldn't find a refrence to LBO in the mods listed in the readme for TM 1.5)

Default here is a sneak peak at the new work being tested

by a few friends and moders here at sub sim for me before final release of my rework!

I hope this wet's all of your wistles for the long wait you have all had while I did this.

BTW the engine telegrah you see on the bridge was a rework by Captain Cox for me to make it more visable. And also the new coloring and shading effects are from Kriller2 who makes the great new docks, tree's and land textures for the game.

When I release the stand alone vs of the mod it will include 30m under water visability, new smoke stack funnel smoke adjustments from C.C., the complete 9km visability mod by Mav, the lightning repair for storms and new visuals from C.C., kapitan_zur_see and myself.

I would also like to add that Seedler is working on all reflections for the ocean and as soon as his work is done I will also add it to LBO for download and for manual input.

So there will be no true Standalone version of LBO?

Default the reason for the rework in the first place was to

repair anything that was noticed for anomolies in the first place then to give the final stage of the waves more storm like conditions and try and create some of the effects some people said they missed with SHIII ocean's. Also to increase FPS as much as possable for everyone. So far with the work Kriller did and my rework even in wave state 4 I manage to keep almost a constant 30 to 25 FPS and I load my system up with many programs running in the background so it slows my system down to do those checks with FPS.

The testers will let me know if I got rid of all the strainge anomolies like the jelly effect if they say good to go I will release it for manual adjustments like before plus a download with a few things added from others so no one will miss out on some of the other mod's that use the same files.

One of the bigest things you will notice in the heavy sea's is when your running at faster speeds the sub now manuvers up and down through the waves sometimes even crashes down into them. I was able to do this because of the new physics program I bought which simulates these effects and gives sugestions on how to accomplish what I am trying to acheave with the settings of the game inputed into the data base. You will see some drastic number changes on the manual input of the new figures but it dosn't sink the smaller ships and there is still no flying sub or ship effects. But it is much harder to shoot on the surface and below the waves and at the same time it is harder for DD's to find you in the heavy sea's. Much more realistic than my previous work.

So far there is a grand total of 2.5 months work into this mod so when I get the okay from my testers for release that's it boys. On to other work for the game from there.

For now I really sugest trying out Kriller2's work as it will make the ocean look even better.

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=120036

And as soon as Seedler is done with the reflections for the ocean you will have one of the most realistic oceans that any game has ever produced.
