Default Campaign "Mare Nostrum" objectives

Has anybody completed all "Mare Nostrum" objectives?

I completed all tonnage objectives but can't find neither "Force H" (Gibraltar), "Force K" (the two carriers) or "Force A" (Crete area).

The only bigger ships I encountered in the "Force H" area on the map were some cruisers which I sank, but sadly they were not the objective.

Did anybody have more luck finding them?

Should be in the same area i guess.

Does anybody know where to find the aircraft carrier? An area already has been marked, but knowing SH, it's probably off by a couple hundred of kilometers.

Ha! Found the second BB (a Queen Elizabeth class) just a bit south of the first one a few days later. And guess what? There were three carriers in the same taskforce too, who turned out to be the ones form the Malta supply quest ... erm ... objective.

Got the BB and two of the carriers and thereby finished two objectives with one attack :

Now to find the "Taskforce A" ....

I've finished all the tonnages too.

I got one BB from Task force A by accident very early on. I was actually just strolling through the area to get to the far east objective area and ran into em.

Still haven't found the other 3 BB's and 2 CV's yet. It's still quite early in the campaign. Im near the end of May.

One BB and two carriers...

I kinda feel like bashing my head repeatedly against a brick wall rather than think about how they designed this joke of a "sim".

The remark on physical violence aside, what would you have liked? To have the campaign won after two merchants sunk?

Note that you DON'T have to accomplish the strategic goals in order to play the game. But if you do accomplish one they might change the campaign on the strategic level.

They are, after all, strategic goals. Accomplish enough of them and it may count as a Victory for your side.

I suspect Darkseed might be making a comment on the general idea of a single commander sinking several BBs and carriers, not to mention the total general tonnage. They are, from a history perspective, way over the top. People are reporting totals in the millions, which might satisfy those of a 'yippee shoot' mind, but it's disturbing to those with even a cursory eye on 'realism'.

As an aside, the "punching" comment was somewhat uncalled for.....

You nailed it. The comment about the punching wasn't meant to be taken literally. Just somehow trying to put my disappointment with how they designed this game into words, but I'll edit it.

Can't find force h either. mind you took look at their mission file in mission editor, i know there path they will travel (still no luck) but there jump out into see time and patrol is random so it's simply when the trigger wants to, and if ure spotted by enemy air craft don't expect to see them.

oww and was spotted by aircraft and he bombed me, well missed tho, by just a little bit, and shot him outa the sky. first time tried to be bombed in the game, was awsome

This reminds me of SHIII vanilla's Tanker Alley. Once you found it, all you had to do was stay in one place and watch the tankers parade in front of your scope like ducks in an arcade shoot.

Exciting stuff
BigBoyWoolly fixed that in GWX
