Night Filter issue

So I located the night filter in data/Menu/Gui/Night_filter.dds

made some changes the way I like it. Pop it back in, but it is on all the time. It does not change with the daytime or night time. Take it out and everything is normal. Suggestions?

To add, I tried renaming the file to a lower case night_filter.dds but it will not let me! Changes right back before my eyes to Night_filter.dds hmmm.

UPDATE:

appears the filter I made works for career and not historical missions. weird.

to be sure that your changes has an effect make a different mod and enable and disable with JSGME and here at the night filer u mean the map one ???

Correct. When the command room goes red, the nav map changes too. It works for career... just not historical. I'll play around with it some more.
