Default What is hot domestic topic in your country these days

Here in Denmark it is

1. Crisis in the Royal family-Every news paper have news about how the Queens man Prince Henrik, keep on making "noise" latest he said "
It's her that makes me foolish. I have not married the Queen to be buried in Roskilde "
"My wife does not give me the respect that a regular wife should give to her spouse, he says" In other words there is a crisis in their relationship

2. gang-related crime. Almost daily there are shootings in Copenhagen or in some of the other major cities. So far, 3-4 innocent people have been hit by shots for the last 3-4 years.

3. The Immigration crisis. Even here there are people how wants to invite a lot more than we can afford to have and there is those who want to send every immigrant back to where they came from.

Edit: Except from number 3 I'm thinking on non-political issues that is debating in your country.

Markus

The upcoming election seems to be a hot topic. Beats me why. Free everything for all if you vote for us. No taxes and hollywood contracts for all if you vote for us... Oh and floods doing away with all the crops. roads and houses are mentioned in between but that must be the political opposition's fault.

The weather is set to take a turn today as The Met Office has predicted “severe” storms this afternoon and tomorrow, with as much as 40mm of rainfall in just three hours.

If fair and balanced journalism ever becomes a "thing" in the USA we'll let you know the answer to that question.

You're my neighbour? Met an old geezer muttering something about animals onboard his boat and "D'oh! Here we go again!".

Goes well with the news this rain. Election and more election and "you're lying!" "am not", "are too", "can't hear you, na na na"...

I need to develope an appreciation for summer time news... "Aggressive swan put down, people riot" and "Korea Pop is the craze".

We have been choking on smoke from forest fires that have been hanging over the city for just over a week.
