I've been capturing screenshots for years by opening them in Windows Paint. Not with SH5 TWoS! No matter what I do with the PrtScn key, all I get when I try to open it in Paint is a new view of the Paint screen. Is there another way of capturing them? (Many of my friends are asking for shots and I want to make them feel lots of envy for not being submariners. lol)

I use a free program called IrfanView to view mine. I believe TWoS uses the Ctrl + F11 keys to do screenshots.

Thanks, HW3. No joy with Ctrl-F11, I'm afraid. I may download the viewer you're using, and in the meantime, start testing a batch of key strokes to see if I can stumble upon it.

It'll be joy if you search for your screenshot inside the main SH install folder (bmp files)

Thanks VDR1981!! It didn't occur to me to do a *.bmp search! Duh-h-h-h...
Wow! I'm collecting screen shots left and right now for all my friends who have been listening to me rave about SH5. This is a great learning experience for me. Aces of the Deep was a great start, but there is so much I'll be learning from this game as I grow more and more curious about immersing myself deeper into the features of this game. |
