Default Neal, if you find your job too difficult to master...

... here comes your opportunity to practice...

Gasoline, ethanol, dynamite - it has everything needed for a healthy man's enjoyment...

Serious, this is from the makers of Euro Truck Simulator. It seems to me by the looks of the truck's breaking and behaving that they have improved the physics.

SCS are doing some awesome stuff, they also have a Scandinavian DLC and a Coach Simulator in the works.

Here's some interviews and footage:

Do they have a Texan driving in snow mode?

I went through Dallas once when there was ice on the road.
It was like a crash cart thing from an amusement park.

And here I was thinking the last thing a guy who drives a truck ten hours per day would want to do in his off hours is to pretend to drive a truck.

I have to agree, though: The scenery is amazingly realistic.

When a guy is told to take a break, he is still allowed to dream, eh?

Plenty of screenshots of US and Euro trucks and XXL-trailers,:

Add self-propelled artillery to the cool stuff to be played with... I just wait for a 50s-style trailer with some boxes of nitroglycerine...

No, it is a new independent game, though copying the general design of the Euro title.

There are mods for US trucks in the Euro truck game, however.

I learned so far that parking a trailer in a tight slot and in reverse is a.) counter-intuitive, and b.) difficult because of a.). Took me some time to understand what was going on why.

I briefly joined another forum dedicated to truck sims when ETS 2 came out. It certainly wasn't as populated as Subsim.com but probably about 70% were either drivers or within the industry. Great for getting gen on the trucks.
